Mark A. Gannaway, CEO
Arcana’s strategy is executed under the leadership and direction of Mark Gannaway, CPCU. Mr. Gannaway has 35 plus years of insurance experience, with over 18 years as a U.S. Coverholder for Lloyds of London. Before establishing Arcana Insurance Services in 2005, Mr. Gannaway served as President of Safeware Insurance Agency, Chief Marketing Officer for CEM Insurance Company, and Executive Vice President roles for Tristar MGA, Inc. and A & F Insurance Agency. Mr. Gannaway has a strong background in underwriting, product development, risk evaluation, sales and is proficient in development and the utilization of software processes. Mr. Gannaway understands the needs of the insurance industry and the clients his firm represents.
Susan Gropp, Executive Vice President
Susan Gropp, Executive Vice President, is the manager of E&S brokerage, underwriting operations and claims at Arcana Insurance Services. She has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance business and has an extensive working knowledge of domestic and foreign markets. She has an outstanding reputation in the industry for service and product knowledge of property and casualty underwriting and claims, with an exceptional record of successfully managing both. Ms. Gropp was formerly on the board of directors for the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX) and on the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) board. She also previously served as the President of the Texas Surplus Association.
Martha Teears, SVP – Manager, National Accounts Group
Ms. Teears has over 30 years of Insurance and major account relationship experience within the insurance and financial sectors. Prior to working in the Insurance industry, she served in multiple managerial roles within the commercial banking sector. Since joining the Insurance industry, Ms. Teears has focused on building expertise in risk management exposures relating to catastrophic occurrences such as fire, floods and hurricanes. She has extensive knowledge and experience in Flood insurance. Her managerial roles within the insurance industry include the management of key corporate relationships whose business footprints encompass both regional and national facilities. Coupled with her knowledge of Insurance related risks, Ms. Teears has extensive experience in the development and management of data base risk analytics.
Patrick Admire, Claims Manager for Arcana
Patrick Admire, Claims Manager for Arcana, has over 18 years of experience in claim administration, with emphasis on property, automobile, and general liability settlements. Prior to joining Arcana, Mr. Admire worked for two national insurance companies and a large third-party administrator. He has extensive experience in liability investigations and field appraisals for real properties and consumer vehicles.
Irving Becker, Controller
Irving Becker is an experienced accounting professional. Mr. Becker has over 14 years of financial experience in the insurance industry both at the MGA level and carrier level. Mr. Becker has over 35 years of small and large business experience at the managerial level, and as a business owner. Mr. Becker stresses within his team the need for customer service in dealing with the Arcana business Partners. Mr. Becker is a currently and has been for over 35 years a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Gillian Cajica, Senior Business Analyst IT.
Mrs. Gillian Cajica joined Arcana Insurance Services in February of 2011, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronical Engineering from Colombia and has built her career on Information Technology with Arcana and its vendors for over 10 years in both infrastructure and software development. Gillian is a results-oriented professional that helps our organization’s vision come true and always provides a pleasant experience to any client or colleague that she works with.
Maxx Williamson, Sales Executive, Investor Products Leader
Maxx Williamson is a seasoned sales professional and leads the MSI/Arcana’s sales efforts. After beginning his insurance career with Northwestern Mutual, Mr. Williamson shifted into the single-family insurance space by joining our team in early 2022. In addition to prior experience managing a small sales team within the technology space, he brings to the table a track record of driving increased sales, improving the overall buying experience, and developing strong and long-lasting customer relationships. Mr. Williamson understands the wants and needs of our clients and strives to serve as their partner during every interaction.
